An excellent opportunity is now available in the Rehabilitation Ward at Nepean Hospital for a Clinical Nurse Educator to join the team. This position available is Temporary Full Time until March 2026.
Your role will see you promote a culture of development and inquiry that actively encourages and facilitates clinical learning, evidence based best practice, reflective practice and ownership of professional developmentThe Clinical Nurse/Midwife Educator (CNME) in consultation with the Nursing/Midwifery Unit Managers (NMUMs), is required to identify, plan, coordinate, implement and evaluate education and development programs for staff working in the ward/unit/service.
Working in the Rehabilitation Ward will allow you to meet the needs of staff, patients and their families whilst working in a diverse team demonstrating CORE values whilst providing exceptional person-centered care.

What you will bring to the role:
- Current registration to practice as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA)
- Relevant clinical/education post registration qualification or such education and clinical experience deemed appropriate by the employer
- Recent extensive clinical experience deemed appropriate by the selection panel
- Demonstrated ability to identify learning needs and to plan, develop, deliver and evaluate education.
- Highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills including the ability to work in a consultative manner.
- Demonstrated previous experience in clinical teaching, mentoring and preceptorship.
- Demonstrated capacity to work effectively in a team environment.
- Commitment to working with NMUM to establish and maintain a learning environment that values and encourages learning and reflective practice.
