Are you a compassionate, experienced midwife looking for an exciting role in a supportive regional healthcare setting?

We have an incredible opportunity for a dedicated Registered Midwife to join our Midwifery Services Team in rural NSW at Griffith.

About the Role:

As a Registered Midwife in Griffith, you will work in partnership with women using a women-centred approach to give the necessary, support, care and advice during pregnancy, labour, birth and the postpartum period. This includes being able to identify complications and seek timely referral or consultation to the appropriate health care provider.

  • Provide comprehensive midwifery care, including assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation.
  • Respect and uphold individuals' rights, beliefs, and cultural values.
  • Analyse data, coordinate care, and communicate outcomes effectively.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality and seamless care.
  • Manage births independently and provide care for newborns and infants.
  • Respond to emergencies and escalate care as needed.
  • Participate in audits, reviews, and on-call rosters to maintain service quality.
  • Work within your scope of practice, delegate appropriately, and support the development of others.

  2. Undertake a National Police Check (conducted by MLHD)
