Mackay Base Hospital require Registered Nurses for their Medical ward!

The G2 Ward is a 28-bed adult medical unit which has the capacity to expand to 30 beds if required. The unit provides multi-disciplinary assessment, management, and care to general medical patients inclusive of Oncology, Cardiology, Respiratory, Renal and Acute General Medicine.

Start dates:

• 20.01.2025 – 30.03.2025
• 03.02.2025 – 30.03.2025
• 24.02.2025 – 30.03.2025

Mandatory experience:

• A minimum of 2 years’ Medical experience
• Good computer literacy skills

Mandatory Competencies:

• BLS competency
• Manual and patient handling
• Infection control
• Aggressive behaviour management
• Mandatory reporting by Registered Nurses, and/or Midwifes for reasonable suspicions of child abuse and neglect
• Medications management including QPHS (Drugs and Poisons) Regulations November 2012
