Our Allied Health Occupational Therapy is seeking to engage a qualified Occupational Therapist to join their team. The Occupational Therapist provides high quality occupational therapy service to aged care clients/ consumers and carers to ensure optimal health outcomes for the clients of the service.
The successful candidate will ensure provision of senior clinical leadership to occupational therapists in order to support the mentoring and development of staff. You will work within risk management, safety, infection control and quality frameworks applicable to the organisation. The position m

What you will bring to the role:
- Current registration to practice as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board, AHPRA and current Driver's Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel
- Advanced level of clinical knowledge and experience across a range of conditions including the assessment and management of physical, functional and cognitive deficits in the aged care population.
- Demonstrated high level skills in verbal and non-verbal communication with consumers, teams and other stakeholders, including excellence in negotiation, decision making, advocacy and collaborative consultation. Demonstrated experience in clinical documentation and formal reporting.
- Demonstrated well developed clinical knowledge and problem solving skills in an acute hospital or ambulatory setting within a multidisciplinary team, with ability to provide clinical services to client groups of a complex nature requiring advanced practice skills.
- Demonstrated application of leadership skills and knowledge, including demonstrated skills in staff and student supervision, mentoring, coaching and performance development.
- Demonstrated high level organisational and time management skills in an environment of competing clinical/administrative demands.
- Demonstrated ability to advise, lead and participate in service development, change management and quality improvement initiatives within the OT environment and more broadly across a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated experience in the use of relevant evidence based practice resources to guide decision- making and commitment to ongoing education / professional development.
