Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery. The Nepean Campus has recently experienced tremendous growth and aims to support communities within and outside of Sydney’s western suburbs, providing world-class clinical facilities, services, and care.

An opportunity has become available in a Temporary Part time role - 11 hours per week for a Physiotherapist Level 1/2, located at Nepean Hospital. This position will rotate through medical, surgical and ICU services. This role will see you maintain timely and accurate medical records to satisfy medico-legal requirements, ensure timely and accurate completion of patient discharge summaries, patient transfer summaries and patient handovers.

The successful incumbent will ensure patient follow up for non-attendance occurs in a timely manner and ensure timely and accurate entry of caseload statistics on the Cerner Allied Health system.

What you will bring to the role:

  1. Degree in Physiotherapy and National Physiotherapy Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA)
  2. Demonstrated ability to provide high quality clinical services across a broad range of clinical areas
  3. Demonstrated effective written & verbal communication skills
  4. Demonstrated effective time management skills
  5. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
  6. Demonstrated commitment to professional development and demonstrated knowledge of & experience with Quality Improvement & Evidence Based practice
  7. Current Driver's Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel
