At Wyong Hospital Community Paediatric Services, we are committed to providing professional social work services that enable optimal health outcomes for patients, their families, and caregivers. Our dedicated Social Worker offers a community-focused approach, ensuring comprehensive support during both inpatient and outpatient care.

An Eligibility List (E-List) or talent pool may be created from this recruitment episode to assist in filling future permanent, temporary, or casual full-time and part-time positions.

This is a maternity relief position and should the permanent incumbent require an early return from maternity leave, this contract of employment will cease with two weeks’ notice. Maternity relief positions can be for a period of up to 12 months, with the possibility of continued employment for up to a further 12 months for maternity leave reduced hours, therefore there are no claims to permanency.

About You

  • You can demonstrate that you meet the essential requirements of the position and that you are eligible for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
  • You possess a comprehension of the intricate psycho-social implications associated with various health conditions. Your expertise extends to a diverse spectrum of best practice social work interventions essential in the realm of community social work clinical practice.
  • You will have a keen awareness of the multifaceted challenges individuals face, and you are adept at navigating and implementing effective strategies to address their holistic well-being. Your nuanced understanding serves as a cornerstone in delivering compassionate and tailored support to those in need, fostering resilience and empowerment within the communities you serve.
