A Western NSW hospital requires a Senior Medical Officer in Emergency Medicine from 08/08/2024 to 09/08/2024.
SHIFTS:
Thu, 8 Aug 2024 to Fri, 9 Aug 2024
Hours: 07:45 - 18:15
Face-to-face clinical handover with night ED doctor at 0745 – 0800 and 1800 – 1815 in the Emergency Department.
• Face-to-face clinical handover with the ward doctor at 0800 – 0815 and 1645 – 1700 in the Emergency Department
• Provide onsite medical care to patients presenting to the emergency department.
• Provide medical care to inpatients from 1700 – 1800, complete discharge summaries and review admitted patients as requested.
• Complete contemporaneous and comprehensive clinical documentation in eMR.
• Provide and lead clinical review, rapid response, trauma and cardiac arrest services across the facility.
• Check pathology and radiology results in the ED results message centre ordered by any doctor, follow-up and document management plans for any results needed further action and review any patients returning for follow-up of results.
• Training and supervision of students, junior medical officers and registrars.
• Participate in morbidity and mortality meetings, MDT meetings and other clinical meetings as requested.
