This is a maternity relief position and should the permanent incumbent require an early return from maternity leave, this contract of employment will cease with two weeks’ notice. Maternity relief positions can be for a period of up to 12 months, with the possibility of continued employment for up to a further 12 months for maternity leave reduced hours, therefore there are no claims to permanency

Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD) is looking for two skilled and motivated Speech Pathologists to fill temporary part-time positions as Speech Pathology Paediatric Team Leaders. This is your chance to make a significant impact by guiding and supporting a team of professionals committed to delivering exceptional care to our community.

About You

  • You will require advanced clinical specialty knowledge and extensive postgraduate experience and skills in the assessment, diagnosis and management of paediatric communication disorders across the age range and demonstrated high level caseload management skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in staff supervision and clinical education.
  • Demonstrated advanced ability to analyse problems, set priorities and apply a range of options to develop solutions with demonstrated leadership in the planning, implementation and evaluation of quality improvement processes and service planning.

Where you’ll be working

This team leader role works within a supportive speech pathology team to plan, coordinate and deliver high-quality, evidence-informed clinical speech pathology service to paediatric clients and their family/carers. As a senior clinician, you will demonstrate service and resource planning and evaluation, provide
supervision to allocated staff and students and provide clinical leadership within the team. Working to deliver high quality care in a dynamic team environment, you will work closely with interdisciplinary colleagues and managers to ensure the development, delivery and evaluation of speech pathology services.
