An Eligibility List (E-List) or talent pool may be created from this recruitment episode to assist in filling future permanent, temporary, or casual full-time and part-time positions.

This is a maternity relief position and should the permanent incumbent require an early return from maternity leave, this contract of employment will cease with two weeks notice. Maternity relief positions can be for a period of up to 12 months, with the possibility of continued employment for up to a further 12 months for maternity leave reduced hours, therefore there are no claims to permanency

Exciting Opportunity for an Occupational Therapist in Transitional Aged Care Program (TACP)

Are you an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist ready to make a significant impact in the lives of aged care clients? Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD) is seeking a dedicated professional for a temporary assignment to join our team and provide exceptional services to clients in our Transitional Aged Care Program

About You

  • Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy and current Occupational Therapy registration with AHPRA.
  • Demonstrated effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills including the ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse problems, set priorities and apply a range of options to develop solutions.

Where you’ll be working

The Transitional Aged Care Program is a time limited, goal-oriented program and targets people at the end of a hospital episode. Occupational Therapy in TACP is aimed at working with clients to:

  • Complete the restorative process
  • Optimise functional capacity
  • Access and finalise longer term care arrangements that may be required.
