Contribute to practice and service development, innovation and activities that improve medicines management for patients accessing Pharmacy services.

About the role

Temporary part time opportunity.

  • Deliver multifaceted clinical pharmacy services to patients with Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (IBD) alongside the multidisciplinary IBD team at the RBWH.
  • Contribute to practice and service development, innovation and activities that improve medicines management for patients accessing Pharmacy services, and that are aligned to organisational goals, professional, legislative and ethical standards.
  • Exercise independent professional judgement in resolving problems, with more complex clinical decisions and problem solving made with limited professional supervision and guidance.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Demonstrate knowledge in Gastroenterology pharmacotherapeutics, with advanced level expertise in the specialist area of Inflammatory Bowel Disease.
  • Act as specialist practitioner and role model in Inflammatory Bowel Disease as well as broader gastroenterology pharmacy practice.
  • Provide a highly specialised clinical pharmacy service within the multidisciplinary Gastroenterology team to improve outcomes for inpatients and outpatients.
