How to apply
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria in the application as thoroughly as possible.

  • Degree in Social Work or General Counselling. Eligible for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers or other professional group related to discipline.
  • Experience as a counselling clinician in bereavement with specialist knowledge of bereavement, loss and grief processes, with post-graduate tertiary qualifications related to counselling.
  • Proven ability to work independently, and effectively manage service coordination and complex cases.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide education and training to health professionals and community members in the areas of grief, loss and bereavement.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team, which may include participation in quality improvement, evaluation or research.
  • Demonstrated high level verbal and written communication, negotiation, liaison, advocacy and conflict resolution skills as well as high level computer and data entry skills
  • Demonstrated ability to participate in organisational and service planning, development and quality improvement
  • Current drivers licence and willingness to travel throughout LHD.
