The Clinical Research Nurse manages all aspects of oncology research from feasibility and planning through to implementation, participant enrolment and management, study conduct, data management, study close-out and archiving.The role is fundamental to delivering, managing and upholding the quality standards of the research conducted.


Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur ifno suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified for this position following suitable labour market testing.

All workers and new recruits are required to receive 2 doses of a Therapeutic Goods Administration approved or recognised COVID-19 vaccine to commence employment/ engagement or continue to work within a NSW Health service.

A worker and new recruit will be considered compliant if they have a medical contraindication to all available Therapeutic Goods Administration approved or recognised COVID-19 vaccines and provide medical contraindication evidence in line with the policy requirements.

In addition, all Category A workers and new recruits are required to receive one dose of the seasonal influenza vaccine annually to be considered compliant.

Category A workers and new recruits who are non-compliant with seasonal influenza vaccination or have a medical contraindication to influenza or COVID-19 vaccinations must comply with all other infection control risk reduction strategies as directed while working in a Category A position.

    1. Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia and ability to preform venepuncture.
    2. Demonstrated recent experience or knowledge in clinical trials in an acute care facility.
    3. Demonstrated ability to function effectively as a member of a team.
    4. Excellent time management skills, ability to prioritise, manage competing tasks and meet deadlines.
    5. Demonstrated critical thinking, problem solving and organisational skills.
    6. Highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
    7. Attention to detail and ability to deliver accurate and complete documentation.
    8. Excellent computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access).
