Beenleigh Mental Health Team are looking for several Mental Health Clinicians to join their team. Metro South Addiction and Mental Health Services (MSAMHS) delivers a broad range of specialist addiction and mental health services within the Metro South catchment. These include community-based ambulatory and residential services, acute care services in the community, psychiatric rehabilitation, consultation-liaison to hospital wards and emergency departments and addiction services. The Beenleigh Mental Team is a multidisciplinary team that provides assessment, brief/ crisis interventions, community linkages and onward referrals.

About the Role

The purpose of this role is to deliver Mental Health services with Beenleigh Mental Health Team or at other sites within Metro South Addiction and Mental Health Services if required.

This includes:

  • Detailed clinical assessment, patient education, therapeutic intervention and/or management and assistance with discharge planning within a multi-disciplinary context.
  • Clinical education, training and supervision of students and allied health assistants.
  • Participation and contribution to quality improvement and research activities under the guidance of senior staff.
  • Managing an allocated workload to deliver evidence based counselling services, including assessment, intervention and evaluation within a multidisciplinary team in accordance with established clinical & departmental protocols, policies and procedures, utilising evidence based practice and ethical standards and under clinical practice supervision or professional guidance of senior staff.
