This is an exciting opportunity for a Psychologist to join the Mobile Intensive Rehabilitation Team within Mental Health and Specialist Services.

The Role

An opportunity has become available for a Psychologist (Mental Health - Mobile Intensive Rehabilitation Team) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

  • Manage a highly complex caseload with clinical supervision and support
  • Provide psychology specific interventions and assessments
  • Provide supervision for less experienced clinicians and students
  • Provide a comprehensive and flexible mental health service to mental health consumers and their family/carers 

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

  • A tertiary degree in Psychology
  • AHPRA Registration
  • Membership or eligibility for membership of the Australian Psychological Society would be well regarded
  • Driver Licence
  • Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
  • Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
  • Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
  • Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

  • Permanent full time
  • Base salary ranging from $76 747 - $112 805 per annum

The Mobile Intensive Rehabilitation Team provide recovery focused, intensive mental health care, to consumers with complex and enduring mental illness with co-morbid bio-psycho-social needs.  Mobile Intensive Rehabilitation Team provide services in conjunction with non-government and government agencies to support consumer recovery. These services provide more intensive daily follow up for consumers living in the community to support them to remain within their home setting. It is the aim of this service to offer a recovery-oriented approach that is person centred, strengths based, collaborative and empowering. There is an emphasis on consumer choice, building resilience and enhancing opportunities for social inclusion. Mobile Intensive Rehabilitation Team operate on the premise that consumers can and do recover from mental illness.
