Biloela Hospital provides a range of hospital and visiting specialist services to the Biloela and Banana region. Our vision, outlined in our Destination 2030: Great Care for Central Queenslanders strategy1, is for Biloela Hospital to be the Banana hub for emergency, maternity, diagnostic and a range of surgical services. We invest in Telehealth technology to provide local access to services wherever possible.

The Gladstone and Banana Allied Health Clinical Network consists of six on site Health Practitioner professions: Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Physiotherapy, Nutrition and Dietetics, Psychology and Social Work.

About the role:

The Allied Health Sub-Acute Senior works as a member of the Gladstone and Banana Allied Health Team(s) providing coordination, leadership, and governance of the Allied Health Assistant workforce within the Banana region. This position also operationally oversees the provision of effective and efficient allied health sub-acute inpatient and outpatient adult services across the Banana region, ensuring Allied Health staffing models and skill mix are contemporary and in line with facility, role delineation and function.

About you:

  • Mandatory qualification/s: Possession of a degree in Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Physiotherapy, Nutrition and Dietetics or Social Work (or equivalent) is mandatory.
  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or in the case of Social Workers, Speech Pathologists or Dietitians, eligibility for membership with the respective Australian Association and completion of CQHHS credentialing is mandatory for this position.

Salary information:

Total remuneration value of up to $76,387 p.a. is comprised of:

  • A hourly rate between $62.75 - $67.53 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
