We are looking for an experiencedRegistered Nurseto join the Liver team at Te Toka Tumai Auckland as a Liver Nurse specialist with specialty focus on Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC) .Your primary responsibility is to provide specialised nursing care and case managementto patientswith hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) along the patient pathway from diagnosis, through their journey along either apalliative care pathway or referral to NZLTU for liver transplant assessment.

As a Nurse Specialist youwill need to work autonomously as part of a supportive senior nursing and multidisciplinary teamto provide care to our patient population.You will have clinical leadership in care delivery, care coordination, patient follow -up, procedural and diagnostic follow up and referrals to other specialists.The ideal candidate will have extensive surgical and/or liver nursing experience and be practising at a senior level, preferably with a postgraduate certificate or diploma in specialty nursing practice.

  • Have at least 3-5 years post-graduate experience, preferably insurgical and/or liver experience.
  • Interact effectively with a multi-disciplinary team and service members
  • Maintain safe cultural practice and develop your cultural knowledge
  • Have NZ nursing registration with a current Annual Practicing Certificate
