Your Opportunity:

The Clinical Nurse (CN) role provides advanced clinical and problem-solving skills, expert planning and coordination skills in the clinical assessment and crisis intervention of children, youth and their families with complex mental health care needs, ensuring quality standards are met. This role works autonomously within the Healthcare Team structure and is pivotal in the planning, managing and delivering child and youth mental health specialist nursing care.  The CN works collaboratively with stakeholders and multidisciplinary professionals to provide clinical care and a therapeutic environment conducive to the dignity and wellbeing of consumers and carers within the Mental Health Service. The CN provides clinical leadership for professional and clinical practice, education and research. The role supports in management activities including portfolio responsibilities.  This CN role has specific responsibilities for care coordination activities as part of the multidisciplinary care coordinating team.
