What you'll be doing:
The role of the Voluntary Assisted Dying Coordinator - Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 2 will see you workcollaboratively to provide safe, compassionate, person-centred health care in collaboration with patients, families, carers, and multidisciplinary teams.

This imperative Nursing role will have you provide leadership, advice, and recommendations on all aspects of nursing/midwifery and consults on matters relating to the safe and appropriate use of nursing/midwifery practices all whilst formulating and implementing policy, guide practice development, and engage in education and research activities. You will be responsible for the provision of clinical supervision to nursing staff and acts as a role model, providing nursing care on a regular basis.

New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health or provide an Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW. A NSW Health agency may require further information about the medical contraindication (including but not limited to an Immunisation Medical Exemption form - IM011 form).

Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.

Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified and must not exceed the duration or conditions associated with the current visa.





Selection criteria to be addressed:

  1. Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse/Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and current NSW Driver’s License and willingness to use same as required for the position
  2. Minimum five years full time equivalent post registration experience, with at least three years full time equivalent experience in Aged Care and post graduate qualifications in Aged Care or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate.
  3. Evidence of consistent demonstration of behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation with all stakeholders including colleagues, direct reports patients and consumers.
  4. Demonstrated clinical leadership skills and an ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary framework with a demonstrated commitment to excellence in nursing practice.
  5. Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills across a variety of mediums and an understanding of the practice development framework to clinical practice.
  6. Demonstrated involvement in the development/change of clinical practice underpinned by evidence-based research.
  7. Demonstrated ability to contribute to strategic and clinical service planning.
  8. Ability to apply clinical expertise in patient-centred consultancy with the ability to work effectively both as a member of a multidisciplinary team and independently.
