About Your Role

Provide safe, compassionate person centred care through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care in collaboration with consumers and the multidisciplinary health care team to achieve safe quality care outcomes that meet the goals of the consumer. Responsible for the supervision of Enrolled Nurses and AINs.

The Mental Health (MH) Registered Nurse provides high quality evidence based physical and mental health care to consumers, their families and carers within a recovery and trauma informed care framework.

The service provides mental health care for consumers aged 16 years and over. Consumers with complex physical, mental health and substance abuse diagnoses are admitted.

The MH units are committed to providing contemporary and innovative approaches to care. The units recognise consumers with mental health issues as experts in their own condition and strives to provide an optimistic and positive approach to care with a focus on collaborative decision making and care planning.
