What you'll be doing
The key responsibilities of the Enrolled Nurse is to provide nursing care for patients in a safe and competent manner.Nursing practice should reflect current knowledge of nursing and related disciplines and the philosophy of the Division of Nursing.The EN always works under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
These positions work on a 7 day rotating roster, day, afternoon and night shifts including weekends.
There are two positions available:
- Permanent Part Time
- Temporary Part Time until 13 April 2025 with the possibility of extension.
All NSW Health workers are required to have completed an up-to-date course of a COVID-19 vaccine (2 doses) which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.
Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Please provide proof of vaccination if available.

Selection Criteria
- Current Registration with AHPRA as an Enrolled Nurse.
- Recent clinical experience in a Day Surgery Unit or an acute care setting.
- Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Excellent knowledge of infection control/standard precautions and manual handling lifting and transfer techniques.
- Demonstrates an understanding of risk management, safety and quality principles and the role of the Enrolled Nurse in applying these principles.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Efficient with eMR and familiarity with Health Information Systems.
