What you'll be doing:
A fabulous opportunity is now available to join the team in Rehab for Enrolled Nurses at Nepean Hospital. These positions available are Permanent Full Time and Part Time positions.

Being an Enrolled Nurse at Nepean Hospital will see you provide provision of safe patient care, care activities to patients in accordance with the nursing care plan and under the supervision of a Registered Nurse within the scope of practice of an Enrolled Nurse specific to service need.and contribute to collecting accurate health care information and maintaining accurate health care documentation as required. Your role will see you communicate effectively with patients and other health care team members in accordance with appropriate protocol.

Your role as the Enrolled Nurse will work with the Registered Nurse (RN) as part of the health care team and demonstrates competence in the provision of person-centred care, and at all times the Enrolled Nurse retains responsibility for his/her actions and remains accountable in providing delegated nursing care. T

You will engage in analytical thinking; use information and/or evidence; and skilfully and empathetically communicate with all involved in the provision of care, including the person receiving care and their family and community, and health professional colleagues all whilst collaborating and consuling with health care recipients, their families and community as well as RNs and other health professionals, to plan, implement and evaluate integrated care that optimises outcomes for recipients and the systems of care.

A NSW Health agency may require further information about the medical contraindication (including but not limited to an Immunisation Medical Exemption form - IM011 form).

Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.

Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified and must not exceed the duration or conditions associated with the current visa.

Selection criteria to be addressed:

  1. Current registration to practice as an Enrolled Nurse (Division 2) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  2. Experience and demonstrated skill in Acute nursing
  3. Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work
  4. Demonstrated evidence of being able to provide person centred care
  5. Demonstrated effective communication skills - written and verbal
  6. Experience working in a multidisciplinary team.
  7. Ability to work a flexible roster
