In this position you will demonstrate an advanced level of autonomous clinical and professional practice, whilst working collectively to apply the principles of clinical governance. You will be supported to take responsibility for enacting strategies that supports a work-based culture that promotes and supports education, learning, research and workforce development.

About the role:

The primary purpose of the position is to provide specialist advice and support Business Units across CQHHS on all aspects of infection prevention and control, including CQHHS Quality, Safety and Risk strategic priorities and The National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards (NSQHSS), Aged Care Standards, Disability Standards and other key standards.

About you:

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • Mandatory qualification/s: Current nursing/midwifery registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Non-mandatory but desirable qualifications/requirements: While not mandatory, post graduate studies relating to infection prevention and control or working towards, would be well regarded.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with others; provides support; shares information and credit; considers the views of and involves colleagues in decision making; deals effectively with conflict; maintains effective working relationships with colleagues; mentors and provides leadership as appropriate.
  • Proven ability to communicate relevant, prompt and accurate information; is approachable and resourceful in working with senior colleagues and peers; uses good judgement in prioritising courses of action, and is respectful to co-workers and customers.
  • Demonstrates advanced clinical evidence-based skill and knowledge in Quality and Safety, Infection Prevention and Control, service coordination and interdisciplinary care management, evidenced by feedback, recency of practice and achieved clinical competencies.

Salary information:

Total remuneration value of up to $164,212 p.a. is comprised of:

  • A hourly rate between $66.85-$72.58 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
