Selection Criteria:

1. Personal experience as a consumer of Mental Health Services and ability to utilise the lived experience to support others in their own mental health recovery journey.
2. Certificate IV in Peer Work, or willingness to obtain this qualification.
3. Demonstrated commitment to consumer led recovery principles including the physical health care of mental health consumers.
4. Demonstrated clear written and verbal communication and negotiation skills including computer skills (MS Office).
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team and actively contribute to clinical care planning processes in a team setting.
6. Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective partnerships with a range of key stakeholders, GP’s, non-government organisations, inpatient & community mental health teams, consumers and carers.
7. Current Drivers Licence valid within Australia (P2 acceptable)
