The Mental Health Clinician will provide discipline specific and generalist clinical services utilising a range of modalities relevant to Child and Adolescent Mental Health as a member of a multidisciplinary team.

The location: Emerald is a rural town located in the Central Highlands Region, Queensland, Australia., a short 270kms from Rockhampton City, the town boasts year-round events such as the Gemfields Festival, Gala in the Garden, Emerald 100 Race Day plus the iconic Derby Day just to name a few.

About us:

Central Queensland Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs Service (CQMHAODS): provides specialist mental health, substance and alcohol related care to residents of Rockhampton, Capricorn Coast, Gladstone, Central Highlands and Banana areas with services located in each area. Rockhampton is the principal service centre and as such provides the administration of the Mental Health Act, 2016, and is the location of the acute adult inpatient facilities. In addition, there is a Adult Step Up Step Down facility located in Gladstone and a Adult Community Care Unit located in Rockhampton.

About the role:

Provide discipline specific and generalist clinical services utilising a range of modalities relevant to Child and Adolescent Mental Health as a member of a multidisciplinary team. 

Contribute to the delivery of clinical Child and Adolescent Mental Health services in collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders.

About you:

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • Mandatory qualification/s: Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and / or registration with the appropriate registration authority, including any necessary endorsements, to be provided to the employing service prior to the commencement of duty.
    • Social Work
    • Occupational Therapy
    • Psychology

Salary information:

Total remuneration value of up to $128,706 p.a. is comprised of:

  • A hourly rate between $42.40 - $56.89 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
