Purpose of Position

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the coordination of outpatient Hepatocellular Carcinoma treatment and multi disciplinary care. The position will include involvement in HCC clinical trials, development of individual patient care plans, active HCC surveillance and patient education. The registered nurse will work within a team of integrated and multidisciplinary health care professionals providing high quality nursing care delivered equitably and continuously reviewed, in accordance with Department of Health, Area, Hospital and Nursing Division philosophies and policies.

Selection Criteria

Registered Nurse with current National Registration with APHRA

Effective written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team

Demonstrated experience in patient education

Demonstrated experience managing patients with a chronic illness

Awareness of culturally sensitive nursing practice

Computer literacy
