Purpose of Position

This clinical position involves the provision of assessment, evidence based treatment and case management services to adults referred to the service with psychological disorders and psychiatric illnesses. It is based within a multidisciplinary community mental health team. This positionĀ also involves the provision of mental health crisis intervention services (when rostered, on-call and/or shift work, as part of a 24 hour 7 day roster).

Selection Criteria

Qualification as a Registered Nurse, Psychologist or Allied Health Professional. Must have current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (if applicable) and/or eligibility for membership of a relevant peak body professional association.

Demonstrated recent experience working with adults with psychological/psychiatric illness.

Demonstrated understanding of and experience in the provision of evidence based interventions for mental illness.

Recent experience in mental health crisis intervention and case management

Understanding of NSW Mental Health Act (2007).

Proven high level written and verbal communication skills with proficient keyboard skills and use of Microsoft Office applications.

Ability and willingness to travel for work purposes. This may involve driving long distances with the Health Service. Evidence of a Class C driver's licence.
