Purpose of Position
The primary responsibility of the Health Promotion Officer is to plan and implement promotion and education for all services at the Child & Family Health Service. The positions main focus is Lead and StEPS program.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in health promotion or public health.
Knowledge and experience implementing programs into pre-schools, primary schools and high schools.
Demonstrated experience in planning implementation, evaluation and dissemination of large population health projects.
Demonstrated ability in working as part of a team and developing and maintaining partnerships with a diverse range of stakeholders including government and non-government organisations and communities.
Demonstrated high level of interpersonal and communication skills (written and Verbal), including the ability to conduct presentations to range of audiences.
Demonstrated organisational skill including managing various priorities, problem solving and work independently.
Understanding of issues that impact on program and service delivery in relation vulnerable families.
