Selection Criteria to be addressed:
- Degree or Diploma in Speech Pathology with eligibility for practicing membership of Speech Pathology Australia.
- Extensive post graduate experience in the delivery of Speech Pathology services to acute care and related caseloads including the application of evidence-based practice.
- Extensive recent post graduate clinical experience in the assessment and management of a wide range of complex swallowing and communication disorders in adult patients in acute care settings, in particular in intensive care.
- Extensive clinical experience in the management of patients with tracheostomy and the use of instrumental assessments such as VFSS and FEES.
- Demonstrated experience in leading project work and a proven ability to exercise leadership in a wide variety of contexts and stakeholder groups.
- Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and teaching skills including highly developed skills in advocacy, negotiation and the provision of clinical supervision to speech pathologists and Speech Pathology students.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, build networks and function at high levels as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Current Driver's Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel.
