About the Opportunity
Fairfield Hospital is seeking enthusiastic, driven and determined AIN's to join their highly skilled team.

We are looking for someone who can effectively communicate with a diverse range of people including patients, nurses, medical staff and the wider multidisciplinary team. You will be an attentive and passionate person who can follow directions from the Registered Nurses and provide valuable assistance to the team.

Working within your Scope of Practice, you will take responsibility and accountability for clinical practice, critical reflection and your professional development. You will be confident in escalating issues and ensuring the provision of safe, quality, patient centered care and be engaged with the responsiveness of care needs.

What You'll be Doing
The Assistant In Nursing will assist the registered nurse and enrolled nurse with the planning, provision and documentation of patient care, working within the framework of the policies of SWSLHD, the Ministry of Health and the NSW legislative and statutory requirements.

  1. Demonstrated ability to work under supervision and provide safe compassionate quality care that is culturally responsive
  2. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and engage with patients/consumers, carers and the multidisciplinary health care team to identify and ensure responsiveness of care needs
  3. Demonstrated capacity to interact with others in a personable and professional manner and personally resolve conflicts when they arise
  4. Demonstrated evidence of the use of critical thinking as it relates to the delivery of evidenced based nursing care
  5. Demonstrated understanding and participation in risk management, work health and safety and quality improvement in the workplace
  6. A thorough understanding of scope of practice and demonstrated ability to work within scope boundaries.
