About the Role:

The Southern Adelaide Local Health Network (SALHN) is a leading provider of Healthcare Services across multiple healthcare facilities including Flinders Medical Centre and Noarlunga Health Services. Our Podiatry Service is integral in our aim to optimise healthcare outcomes for patients in our community.The SALHN High Risk Foot Service is focused on the prevention of foot and lower limb amputations in patients with complex medical conditions. The SALHN High Risk Foot Service podiatry team work as part of an interdisciplinary team to provide evidence based and patient centred care to those at risk of lower limb amputation.

SALHN have opportunities available for professional AHP1 and AHP2 Podiatrist to join our highly diverse and experienced team. Details of what the roles include:

  • Providing assessment and treatment of acute adult inpatients and outpatients.
  • Utilising your knowledge, skills and judgement to demonstrate clinical competency in the effective management of patients with complex clinical issues.
  • Engaging in patient focussed clinical practice and facilitating effective care through appropriate and agreed intervention strategies, comprehensive documentation, timely professional communication and negotiated care planning and review with patients
  • Designing, implementing and evaluating patient goals with patients
  • Providing specialised professional advice to other health workers and agencies to support patient care

Successful applicants will receive a thorough induction and orientation, and regular on-going clinical supervision.

About you:

  • Self-motivated with high-level interpersonal skills and demonstrated initiative.
  • Appropriate degree or equivalent qualification which entitles registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Agency (AHPRA).
  • Demonstrated competency in Podiatry assessment and treatment techniques.
  • Demonstrated competency in the clinical management of a broad range of conditions.
  • Ability to initiate and lead change that results in improved outcomes and facilitates continuous quality improvement.

PleaseNote:This position is multi-classed as either an AHP1 or AHP2 and classification will be determined by qualifications and experience.
