About us:

The facilities within Central Highlands are Emerald Hospital, a busy 32 bed facility. Blackwater Multi-Purpose Health Service (MPHS), a busy rural 16 bed facility. Springsure MPHS, a 12 bed facility supporting the surrounding community. Woorabinda MPHS, a 28 bed facility that offers the Remote Area Nursing Incentive Package (RANIP) and two Primary care centres located at The Gemfields and Capella.

About the role:

The Registered Nurse works within scope of practice to assume responsibility for delivering competent, evidence-based nursing care.

  • Use nursing knowledge and skills to competently assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care and gain appropriate support to address patient care needs that are outside scope of practice.
  • Identify and avoid or minimise risk to patients, employees, volunteers, visitors and the institution.
  • This role may require the incumbent to lead in the coordination of care as the team leader or shift coordinator of the ward as required.
  • Provide evidenced-based care by working collaboratively and in partnership with consumers, carers, external agencies and other health professionals/workers across the care continuum.

About you:

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • A current annual practising certificate
  • Well-developed clinical knowledge and problem-solving skills in a high-quality client-orientated health service delivery model.

It would be considered highly desirable to have:

  • Recent experience in an acute setting is required.
  • Post graduate experience in Emergency or Perioperative Services highly regarded.
  • Advanced Life Support
  • Paediatric Life Support
  • Triage

Salary information:

Total remuneration value of up to $121,106 p.a. is comprised of:

  • A salary between $41.73 - $53.53 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
  • RANIP (Woorabinda)
