Essential Requirements
Qualification: Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology
Registration: Eligible for practicing membership to Speech Pathology Australia
Selection Criteria
- Must hold a Bachelor or post graduate degree in Speech Pathology that provides eligibility for full membership to Speech Pathology Australia with experience at level 2 or higher.
- Advanced skills and demonstrated knowledge and competency in the management of swallowing and communication disorders in an acute adult caseload, including instrumental assessment.
- Demonstrated high level verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal direct clinical supervision, displaying excellent time management and organisational skills
- Actively practices the principles of Evidence Based Practice and engages in professional development for relevant clinical areas with strong experience in quality management or research.
- Demonstrated experience in the provision of clinical supervision and training of staff and/or students.
- An understanding of service co-ordination, evaluation, planning and development.
- Demonstrated commitment to the NSW CORE values. A valid NSW drivers licence.
