The Role

We’re currently looking for an Assistant in Nursing to join our team within the High Risk Management Unit within Goulburn Correctional Centre. This position requires the employee to undertake activities for which they have the legal authority and competence to perform (please refer to the Scope of Practice document). The person performing the delegated activity is accountable for his or her own actions and to the Registered Nurse (RN). Supervision means the direction and guidance given by a RN to an Assistant in Nursing (AIN). The supervision may be direct or indirect according to the nature of the work delegated to the AIN.

There’s also plenty of epic outdoor adventures to be had in the surrounding region, from rock climbing and abseiling to motorsports and skydiving. Our Goulburn service is conveniently located approximately 1 hour from Canberra, 2 hours from Sydney and 2 hours from Jervis Bay. Ideal for those interested in day trip or long weekend trips away.

Our service has also recently undergone a number of significant changes, so now is the perfect time to join our close-knit healthcare team (NUMs, CNE, RNs, ENs & Admin staff) and continue to drive a passionate & holistic approach to the health care of some of our society's most vulnerable. Your salary of $25.39 - $27.85 per hour (+ super and leave loading) is just the beginning. You’ll also have access to:
