How to Apply
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria as thoroughly as possible.

  1. Completion of an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council accredited postgraduate Clinical Psychology qualification of no less than two years full time duration or recognised equivalent and full registration with the Psychology Board of AHPRA with endorsement in Clinical Psychology.
  2. The Head of Department will be responsible for the operational leadership and clinical and professional governance of the inpatient clinical psychologists across the three sites of the SWSLHD mental health service and will provide professional leadership and support for clinical psychologists and psychologists across the mental health service. The position will also manage a clinical case load. Please describe your approach to navigating the competing demands and pressures of clinical leadership and provide a relevant example of when you have overcome a significant challenge as a leader.
  3. The Head of Department for Clinical Psychology is a new position and once appointed will commence the third phase of allied health restructure for the mental health service. Please provide an example of a time where you led a complex change management initiative - what went well and what did you learn from the experience?
  4. Must possess a valid Australian Drivers Licence (excluding learner driver's licences). If not already in possession, a NSW Drivers Licence must be obtained within 3 months of appointment.
