What you'll be doing
This role is responsible for various duties in Production including linen sorting, ironing, folding, packing, loading / unloading of washers, dryers, cleaning of laundry machinery, all to a high standard and whilst working as an effective team member.
Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination
This is a NSW Health Category A position. All Category A applicants must read, understand and agree to comply with Policy Directive PD2011_005 Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination against Specified Diseases. Preferred applicants must provide evidence of protection against specified diseases prior to appointment and medical practitioner costs to determine protection is covered by the applicant.
Preferred applicants must also participate in a Pre-Employment Health Assessment (PEHA) prior to appointment.
- Ability to perform physical related tasks to a high standard
- Sound communication verbal and written skills
- Ability to work as an effective team member
- Experience in general laundry or in production/manufacturing industry
- Experience in the operation of laundry machinery
- Understanding of WH&S principles and its application in the workplace
- Knowledge of Quality Assurance system.
