Purpose of Position

This position functions as part of the Administrative team which is part of Child Development Service / North Shore Ryde Child and Family Health Service, within Northern Sydney Local Health District.  The position provides administration support to the Child and Family Health (C&FH) team; the Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS) team and Child Development Service team.  All administrative staff are required to provide ADO, sick leave, annual leave etc relief at any of the Service sites as directed.

Selection Criteria

Able to demonstrate extensive experience in an administration role within a team oriented, client focused service.

Demonstrated experience in working in a cooperative, collaborative manner with a range of stakeholders.

High level written and verbal communication skills, the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and be flexible and open to new tasks and challenges.

Demonstrated ability to work independently, effectively problem solve, use initiative and manage own time appropriately. Highest level of honesty, integrity and responsibility.

Demonstrated computer skills and experience, use of Microsoft Office suite of programs, email and web based systems. Demonstrated ability to quickly change and adapt to the introduction of new technologies/programs etc.

Demonstrated data entry skills and a typing speed of at least 30 words per minute with emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail.

Demonstrated experience with commercial telephone systems, telephone and reception duties, easily understood telephone manner.
