Exciting opportunity to join Tweed Valley Hospital, a new, major referral hospital at the heart of the network of hospitals and health facilities across the Tweed-Byron region

The new state of the art facilityincludes:

  • more operating theatres and recovery spaces
  • expanded emergency department
  • enhanced medical, surgical, and mental health services
  • enhanced ambulatory care services including more outpatient clinics
  • new interventional cardiology service
  • new radiotherapy service as part of a new integrated cancer care service

About the role

The Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 3 (CNC3) Skin Integrity is responsible for expert clinical organisation, coordination, leadership, education and consultancy services in skin integrity within inpatient facilities across Northern NSW Local Health District (NNSWLHD). Providing a complex and expansive clinical consultancy service for the prevention and management of all pressure injuries across the district. Working collaboratively with appropriate stakeholders to provide expert advice which enables improved practice and systemic change in relation to skin integrity. Review practice standards, policies and procedures that relate to specialty and expert knowledge. Providing expert advice and assist in the development, implementation and monitoring of activities to support the evidenced based management of skin integrity. This includes the monitoring and auditing of resources and equipment, to ensure cost effective and efficient, appropriate use of same.
