What you’ll be doing
You will join a collaborative team that are committed to providing top-quality care for mothers and their babies and are dedicated in upholding the highest standards of midwifery practice.As a Registered Midwife within the MITH team at HKH, you will be responsible for: Providing postpartum care to mothers and babies in the home (occasionally on maternity ward), identifying their unique needs, and tailoring care accordingly. You will support breastfeeding and promote its continuation. Additionally, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes of mothers, babies, and their families.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Midwife
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a high level of written and verbal skills with both patients and colleagues.
- Computer literacy.
- Recent experience and competency to practise as a midwife in antenatal, labour, birth and postnatal care, lactation and infant feeding.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Current unrestricted NSW Drivers licence.
