About the Role
Royal Prince Alfred Hospital is a major metropolitan tertiary referral hospital and a principal provider of specialist healthcare. It remains one of the nation’s most respected hospitals, with a distinguished history serving the health needs of local, statewide, national and international communities.
The Registered Nurse is responsible for the provision of patient-centred, evidence-informed nursing care that promotes identified health outcomes. The Registered Nurse will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with individuals and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
The Research and Clinical Assistant will be:
- Triaging and supporting clinics
- Performing balance testing - following training
- Training patients in balance rehabilitation
- Responding to patient queries
- Assisting with ethics applications.
This position will be working Monday and Wednesday 8:30am-4:30pm, Thursday and Friday 8:30am-12:30pm. Candidates with previous research experience and interest in postgraduate studies are highly desirable.

Ideal Candidate
- Current nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
- Effective interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
- Research experience and interest in postgraduate studies.
