This is for a Permanent or Fixed Term Full Time appointment at 80 hours per fortnight, with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.

An opportunity exists for a talented and enthusiastic Nurse Manager to join the After-Hours team at Albany Health Campus in the Great Southern. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrated advanced nursing practice skills related to the general nursing, emergency nursing, high dependency or peri-operative nursing.
  • Demonstrated well developed communication and interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated well developed human, physical and financial resource management skills for the delivery of quality and safe patient care incorporating risk management.
  • Demonstrated computing skills to enable navigation of online policy access, internal communication and completing online learning resources.
  • Current knowledge of legislative and regulatory requirements in the areas of Equal Opportunity, Disability Services and Occupational Safety & Health, and how these impact on employment, people management and service deliver.

About the Role

Albany Health Campus is seeking an experienced and dedicated Nurse Manager - After Hours to join our leadership team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred nursing care during after-hours operations. The successful candidate will provide professional nursing leadership, clinical management, and coordination across the hospital in the absence of senior nursing management.

The Country Nursing & Midwifery incentive program is available to new and existing nurses and midwives - across a broad range of patient-facing roles - on fixed term or permanent contracts at eligible locations.
