There is an amazing permanent opportunity for an experienced Advanced Health Worker in the Indigenous Maternal and Infant Outreach program, Gumma Gundoo.

About us:

Gumma Gundoo Indigenous Maternal and Infant Outreach provide care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women or women with an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander child. The service provides care for the mother and the infant during pregnancy and the early weeks after birth.

About the role:

The Advanced Health Worker working with the Gumma Gundoo program provides culturally appropriate care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families during pregnancy and the postnatal period. There is also an option to offer birth support to women in labour. The Health Worker works with the midwives in the program to provide this care which may include outreach services across CQHHS.

About you:

  • Appointment, and future increment progression, between paypoints HWF3.1 to 5 requires:
    • Certificate IV in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health
  • Appointment, and future increment progression, between paypoints HWF3.2 to HWF3.7, or HWF3.8 (limited to employees who meet the requirements of HED 04/23) requires:
    • Diploma of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care
  • Ability to advocate for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and families using strong negotiation and networking skills.

Salary information:

Total remuneration value of up to $70,120 p.a. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $36.76 - $49.07 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
