St Vincent’s Private Hospital Toowoomba is seeking a Locum Paediatrician over the 2024 Christmas period. Dates required are from Monday 23 December until Tuesday 31 December 2024.

The successful applicant will have access to a generous daily rate, flights and accommodation. Family accommodation is available for a Christmas getaway if desired. The successful applicant will be supported by fellow clinicians at the hospital. There will be no outpatient component for this. The position will entail on-call and care for current patients in the 12-bed paediatric, 8-bed special care and 16-bed maternity wards.  

We have Toowoomba’s only private paediatric ward with qualified paediatric nurses in a child-friendly environment, and the only private birthing suite and maternity ward. About 800 births occur in our maternity ward each year and eight private obstetricians practise within the hospital. Our special care nursery has Level 4 capability – gestation of 32 weeks and over – and has capacity for eight babies. We can provide CPAP and stabilisation of a ventilated neonate for transfer to higher care if needed.
