Are you a Registered Mental Health Nurse, looking to travel Nurse across beautiful Queensland?
We are gaining expression of interest for Nurses who wish to locum/complete short-term contracts in various Mental Health areas across the state of Queensland.
Essential Criteria
You may be aware, that the mandatory compliance requirements to work in Queensland are quite strict and we want to assist you in achieving their requirements with constant support and guidance from our Recruitment Consultants and Compliance Officers.
Required documents are as below:
- Updated CV with most recent experience
- References x 2 (one from a Manager you've worked with in the past 3 months and another within 12 months)
- Personal Indemnity Insurance
- AHPRA Registered Nurse
- Tuberculosis risk assessment questionnaire
- Immunisations: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hep B, and Pertussis (must be within the last 10 years). ADT will not be accepted, nor will pertussis serology. All documentation must include your full name
- Working with Children's Check - Blue Card
- Provide a declaration that you are not a current employee of Queensland Health
- Photo for ID (headshot only, JPEG format)
- Scope of Practice letter signed by employee
- Valid Australian National Police check (valid for 3 years)
Please note the below documents must be certified by a justice of the peace, commissioner of declarations, barrister, solicitor, or notary public – documents cannot be certified by a medical practitioner, police officer, pharmacist or Australia Post officer
- Proof of Australian working rights
- Copies of three (3) documents from the following list, must include at least one type of photographic ID, and one type of identification that contains a signature and date of birth (Australian citizenship certificate, Australian driver’s license, Australian student photo ID, Australian proof of age card , Birth certificate, Passport, Health care card, Medicare card, Pension concession card, Utility bill (e.g. water, gas, electricity, Working with children check)

- Photo identifications : A current passport and driver’s license with a clear, legible photo and text.

- Basic Life Support (Annual practical competency)
- Child Abuse and Neglect (Annually)
- Code of Conduct -Including workplace harassment (Annually)
- Cultural Awareness (every 5 years)
- Fire Safety (Annually)
- Fraud Control Awareness (every 2 years)
- Hand Hygiene (Annually)
- Infection Prevention and Control (once only)
- Medication Safety (annually)
- Occupational Violence Prevention Fundamentals (once only)
- Patient Handling - Theory (once only)
- Recognise, Respond, Refer - Domestic and Family Violence (every 3 years)
- Work Health, Safety and Well-being Induction (once only)
- Aggressive behaviour management
- Medications management including QPHS (Drugs and Poisons) Regulations November 2012 (Nurses)
- Responsibilities in relation to Aged Care Act and Elder Abuse
