Vocationally Registered (VR) General Practitioner – Mooroopna
Full time/ Part time – Up to 38 hours per week
About the Role
As a Vocationally Registered General Practitioner, you will deliver culturally sensitive, holistic healthcare to the local Aboriginal community. This role involves providing high-quality primary care, supporting chronic disease management, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to enhance the health and well-being of our community. Your expertise will help empower our community through comprehensive medical care, health education, and proactive support.
About You
- Provide comprehensive, continuing medical care as a General Practitioner.
- Conduct consultations for simple and complex health conditions.
- Offer a range of health services, including prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation.
- Collaborate with specialists and allied health professionals.
- Make appropriate referrals to services and community health.
- Engage in ongoing education, health promotion, and research.
- Assist in training colleagues and other health professionals.
- Foster continuous improvement in service delivery.
What you need to apply?
- Registered to practice in Victoria as a medical practitioner with AHPRA (without limitations).
- Understanding of and commitment to the Aboriginal community.
- Experience working in a community-controlled health service.
- Ability to build rapport with patients and the community.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and CPD requirements.
- Effective teamwork skills.
- Knowledge and commitment to occupational health & safety legislation.
What We Offer:
- Competitive pay and conditions:$180 - $200 rate per hour.
