Midwife/LMC– Pacific Peoples
About the role:
Are you passionate about working with pregnant mothers and newborns? The Fono is looking for a midwife to join the Maternity and Early Years initiative, Kahu Taurima.
Kahu Taurima incorporates our existing integrated model of care with specialised services, ensuring every Pacific mother and child feels empowered. We ensure top-tier maternity care is simple, personalised and culturally safe.

About you:
The successful applicant will show dedication to creating new approaches. You will work alongside our Kahu Taurima team to help develop and grow the service.
What you will need for this position is:
- To be a New Zealand Registered Midwife.
- Must hold a current Annual Practicing Certificate and have evidence of recent practice.
- Must have no conditions, issued by the Midwifery Council of NZ.
- 5+ Years Experience as an LMC
- Have a sound understanding of Pacific culture and values.
- Experience working in a Pacific environment may be an advantage.
- Experience working with complicated pregnancies.
- Full NZ driver’s license.
- Spoken and written fluency in English
