Registrar Year 1-3, $154,196 to $168,852 pa (includes base salary $130,990 to $144,314 pa, professional Development allowance $10,107 pa and 10% employer contributed Superannuation). Rates as at June 2022 and North of the 26th parallel.

Registrar (PGY 4-5)

This position offers a variety of critical public health skills and opportunities working with a dynamic and multidisciplinary public health team. Under the direction of the regional Consultant, Public Health Medicine, you will work within the public health team to respond to communicable diseases such as COVID-19, syphilis and meningococcal disease.

There will be opportunities for project work, guideline review and health program evaluation. You will be primarily based in Broome at the Kimberley Population Health Unit (Yamamoto House), however opportunities for regional outreach visits with overnight stays to deliver public health education or disease response activities will be available.

You will become part of a close-knit team that also works closely with primary care providers and hospital services. There are opportunities to undertake clinical audit and/or research projects. You will be supported to attend junior medical officer education sessions at Broome Hospital and is encouraged to apply for additional educational opportunities in the field of public health e.g. WA public health officer training program. There is no on call requirement.
