Purpose of Position
To improve the health of the people of Nepean, Hawkesbury, Blue Mountains and Lithgow regions by contributing to a program of work for identified health promotion priorities, in line with the Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District’s strategic directions and priorities.
Tertiary qualifications in health promotion, population health, education, communication, marketing, child care or relevant field.
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain strategic partnerships with community, government and business organisations and agencies, and facilitate collaborative action.
Demonstrated experience in managing multiple health promotion programs and project management skills, including the ability to plan, implement, evaluate, disseminate and report on the outcomes of the project with an understanding of equity as a principle for underpinning program planning and implementation.
Demonstrated experience in high level written and verbal communication, time management, negotiation, and group facilitation skills
Demonstrated experience in managing staff, conducting staff supervision and direct line management.
Sound organisational and computer skills, data entry experience and the capacity to successfully manage several tasks concurrently to meet tight deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Current NSW drivers licence (including P1 or above) and the willingness to travel within the NBMLHD boundaries.
