Protect what matters most – Become a Pillowcase Project Presenter

Red Cross is partnering with the City of Rockingham to help prepare children in our community for emergencies.

The Pillowcase Project is a school based disaster preparedness program; designed to target students aged 8-10, years 3 to 4, to help build their knowledge and capacity in disaster preparedness. We are seeing emergencies occur more frequently and with more severity. This project is part of a larger international pilot, funded by Disney and supported by the Global Disaster Preparedness Centre (GDPC) and American Red Cross.

The opportunity

Become a part of a network of volunteers that facilitate discussions and run sessions on practical ways to prepare for emergencies and really make a difference in YOUR community.

The impact

Emergencies can happen at any time. They can be as large as a flood or fire, or as personal as a death in the family. But the better you prepare for them, the easier it is for you, your family and your community to recover.
