Integrated Care Project Support Officer, AO5

Purpose of Position

The SCHN ICP has been funded by the NSW Integrated Care Strategy of NSW Ministry of Health. The program aims to develop an innovative, system wide and sustainable service model for providing coordinated and integrated care services for the children of NSW. The program aims to achieve:   Integrated paediatric services across primary, secondary and tertiary sectors and with key partners Improved patient experience of the health system Reduced waiting times for patients as they navigate the system Improved health outcomes for patients and better quality of life Reduced avoidable or unnecessary hospitalisations   This position will provide project support to the Integrated Care Lead and Network Nurse Manager for Ambulatory Services, including arranging and managing diaries and word processing of correspondence reports and executive confidential documents. The support officer will liaise directly with the external partners of Integrated Care, to assist with coordination of project schedules, meetings, focus groups and consumer engagement strategies, stakeholder communications and liaison, project management tasks, redesign progress reporting, data management and other tasks as required.

Selection Criteria

1. Relevant qualifications, experience and/or training in project support or working in project teams

2. Demonstrated experience working in a complex health environment dealing with management, clinicians and external stakeholders

3. Ability to write reports, documents and correspondence including use of medical/health management terminology drafting complex correspondence for senior officers, accurately and clearly

4. Excellent written and verbal communication with health professionals, administrative staff, managers and consumers

5. Possess organisation skills required to set priorities, manage workflow, complete or follow up necessary tasks in their area of responsibility

6. Demonstrated experience in utilising a wide range of IT programs, in particular Microsoft office standard package (Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint and Word), current IT systems within NSW Health and Project Management tools

7. Demonstrated experience working effectively in a team environment

8. Holds a current drivers licence
