Purpose of Position
To lead and manage all aspects of the Health Information Service at Kempsey District Hospital /Community Health and provide a consultative role into the management of the Health Information Services at Wauchope Hospital/Community Health.
Qualifications acceptable to the New South Wales Association of Medical Record Librarians or such other qualifications deemed to be equivalent.
High level working knowledge of International Clinical Classification of Diseases and Health Interventions, including Australian Coding Standards
Demonstrated knowledge of the Admitted Patient and the Sub and Non-acute Data Collection requirements and Activity Based Management principles.
Highly developed computer skills in Microsoft Applications and eMR/Patient Administration System (eg. Cerner).
Supervisory experience and team leadership skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Understanding of Privacy Legislation and ability to apply Privacy Principals.
